Summer jobs and part time jobs for teenagers could soon be a thing of the past. In 2005, a study of the top 100 websites by High School students showed that these 100 websites made over $7 Million Dollars. This is an average of $70,000 per website per year - and these are High School students! Never before in the history of mankind were possibilities so open to all! Economists are predicting that in the year 2020, the largest employer in the world will be "Self". Life cycles and in the 1800's, most people were self employed. Proteges were mentored and then hung out their shingle. At the turn of the 20th Century, industry needed factory and office workers and schools were set up to create these employees. The "employee" time has passed and schools are a little slow to catch up the needs of our times. So for now, it is our responsibilty to lead the entrepreneur revolution. We need to lead these educational changes and take advantage of our technological advances and step into the future. The opportunities beyond the income for our kids are unimagined skills and contacts. Growth, both personally and professionally and the ability to live the life your child wants to live as their websites work for our children instead of our children working for a minimum wage job. Start them as soon as they express a desire for a business or wanting to learn a technology or web design. Why work for minimum wage when a career can be built and a lifetime of residual income and security by creating and maintaining websites? All it takes is one good idea, passion, a dream bigger that our perceived world and less than $100 a year! Got a kid with ADD? These are the most creative and passionate entrepreneurs who run major corporations. These are the people who cannot be tied down and need the excitement of owning their own businesses. If you could get your child to take a pill that cost $100 a year and it gave them self esteem, creativity and an income, would it be worth it? Spend $100 to get your child started on their dream journey - give them hope! Give them the ability to earn a living in a way that was never offered to you. |
